The Application Process

Applications will be received by local contacts on the island and reviewed by the board. The board will process applications based on need and financial output. Expenses will be capped at $60,000 per household. $60,000 is the cost of a hurricane-resistant 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home.

There are no geographical parameters or restrictions.

Who can apply?

• Must own the property - renters do not qualify.

• Maximum household income $30,000

• Current employment is not necessary, but preferred

• Priority will be given to families with children, disabled residents, and the elderly

Application Requirements

• Description and photos of damages

• Personal contact information

• Site visit by qualified engineer

• Work estimates by local contractors and approval of the board

• Contractors will be bonded and insured
